Bringing Art to Life at Villa Eldaca
I recently had the chance to create three bespoke artworks—six massive pieces in total—for Villa Eldaca, a gorgeous spot just outside of Naples. Flying out to see the space was an adventure in itself. I soaked up the vibes of the villa—the arches, vineyards, and stunning landscapes—which totally inspired the pieces I created.
Piece One: This is a bold, abstract piece that greets you right when you walk in. I pulled shapes from things around the villa—wine bottles, glasses, arches, and plant pots. With dark green and cream tones, it fits perfectly in the entrance to the event space, setting the vibe as soon as you step in.
Piece Two: A triptych of three huge abstracts for the main dining hall, often used for weddings and big events. I layered textures with wall filler, paint, and pencils to capture the essence of the landscape. These pieces let viewers find their own little piece of the scenery within.
Piece Three: A more minimal piece, inspired by the villa’s serene arches and soft, calming vibes. It sits beautifully in the foyer alongside a large round table, adding to the villa’s airy and peaceful feel.
A Grateful Heart
Having the chance to fly out to such a beautiful part of Italy and support a new business in bringing the villa’s history to life through art was a true privilege. Seeing my work installed in this incredible space, knowing it will be part of so many memorable moments, was both humbling and rewarding. I’m grateful to have had this experience and to have been a small part of the story of Villa Eldaca.
